Sam Barron All Over The Place
As an Irisher, I have to suffer enough sincerity and gin-poet with from my friends and close ones without enduring the same from low-level indie musicians (though the wit here is not necessarily the whole; perhaps only half). That Mr Barron is also under the impression that a double-bass makes all sound like jazz and him appear a Mr Porter does not help. Rather one thinks of the early records of Mr Voltaire (the baroque goth parodist, not the Enlightenment poster boy and pantheist) without the cleverness and charm. David Gray run through the Dave Brubeck Quartet is a quite a saddening idea, really.
